We used EC Roofing/Brett for re-roofing. Brett and his team have done an amazing job. They keep everything on track and was great to work with. They are professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. In addition, they clean up after each day. This is the roofer everyone needs. We highly recommend Brett/EC Roofing for re-roofing. p.s. they use 3"x3" drip edge metal on the perimeter of the roof which differentiate them from others who use 2" drip edge. The roof looks great!

Expert Damage Assessment and Documentation in Dana Point, CA
When your Dana Point roof takes a hit from Santa Ana winds, Pacific storm surge, or salt air corrosion, a clear and complete damage assessment is the first step toward a paid claim. Pelican Roofs SoCal inspects your roof from surface to structure, looking for displaced tiles, compromised flashing, granule loss, and water intrusion points that adjusters can miss. We photograph every affected area, take measurements, and compile a written report that connects each finding to the storm or weather event that caused it. Dana Point homes face a specific mix of stressors: coastal humidity accelerates material breakdown, and ocean-facing roofs take the brunt of wind-driven rain. That context matters when your insurer reviews your claim. Our documentation gives your insurance company a clear, organized picture of the damage scope. You get a report built to support your claim, not a vague inspection summary. Call Pelican Roofs SoCal to schedule your damage assessment in Dana Point.

Damage Assessment and Documentation FAQ
Common questions about damage assessment and documentation in Dana Point, CA.
Getting a professional assessment first gives you independent documentation of the damage before your insurer sends their own adjuster. This record helps you push back if the insurer's findings differ from what is actually on your Dana Point roof.
We inspect for displaced or cracked tiles, compromised flashing, granule loss, exposed underlayment, and signs of water intrusion inside the structure. Dana Point's coastal conditions also mean we check metal components for salt air corrosion that can weaken fasteners and vents.
Yes, our written report and photo documentation are compiled specifically to support your insurance claim file. The report details each damage finding and ties it to the weather event that affected your Dana Point property.
Santa Ana winds commonly displace clay or concrete tiles and compromise flashing seals on Dana Point homes. We document these specific failure points so your claim reflects the full extent of wind-related damage.
We can be on-site during the adjuster's visit to walk through our findings and point out damage areas that may be overlooked. Having our documentation in hand during that inspection helps ensure nothing is missed.
Yes, salt air and ocean humidity accelerate wear on roofing materials in Dana Point, and insurers sometimes classify that deterioration as pre-existing rather than storm-related. Our assessment documents the specific event-driven damage separately from normal coastal wear.
