We used EC Roofing/Brett for re-roofing. Brett and his team have done an amazing job. They keep everything on track and was great to work with. They are professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. In addition, they clean up after each day. This is the roofer everyone needs. We highly recommend Brett/EC Roofing for re-roofing. p.s. they use 3"x3" drip edge metal on the perimeter of the roof which differentiate them from others who use 2" drip edge. The roof looks great!

Expert Roof Restoration in Dana Point, CA
Roof restoration in Dana Point means more than patching visible damage. It means addressing what salt air, Santa Ana winds, and intense coastal UV exposure do to a roof over time. At Pelican Roofs SoCal, we inspect the full system: tiles or shingles, underlayment, flashing, and valleys. We identify where the roof has softened, cracked, or lost its seal before those spots become active leaks. Dana Point homes sit in a marine environment where humidity regularly runs high and ocean air accelerates material breakdown faster than in inland areas. That makes restoration a smart option for roofs that are structurally sound but showing surface wear, loose tiles, or compromised flashing. We clean, re-seal, re-bed loose tiles, and replace damaged sections so the system performs as a whole. If your roof needs more than restoration can deliver, we tell you plainly. Call Pelican Roofs SoCal to schedule a roof inspection in Dana Point.

Roof Restoration FAQ
Common questions about roof restoration in Dana Point, CA.
Restoration works when the roof deck and structure are sound but surface materials show wear, cracking, or loose tiles. If the decking is soft, rotted, or the damage is widespread, Pelican Roofs SoCal will recommend replacement instead.
Restoration covers a full inspection, cleaning, re-bedding or re-sealing loose tiles, flashing repair, and replacement of isolated damaged sections. The goal is to bring the whole roof system back to a watertight, weather-resistant condition.
Yes, salt-laden air corrodes roofing materials and degrades sealants faster than inland conditions. Dana Point homeowners often see flashing corrosion and tile surface breakdown earlier than the roof's expected age would suggest.
Yes, restoration can address wind-lifted tiles, broken seals, and displaced flashing that Santa Ana winds commonly cause. Pelican Roofs SoCal inspects the full roof after wind events to find every compromised point.
Tile roofs that are structurally intact but have cracked tiles, failed mortar, or worn underlayment are strong candidates for restoration. Re-bedding tiles and replacing underlayment in damaged areas can add meaningful life to the system.
An inspection once a year, and after any major wind or rain event, helps catch small problems before they grow. Dana Point's coastal conditions make regular checks more important than in drier, inland areas of Southern California.
