We used EC Roofing/Brett for re-roofing. Brett and his team have done an amazing job. They keep everything on track and was great to work with. They are professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. In addition, they clean up after each day. This is the roofer everyone needs. We highly recommend Brett/EC Roofing for re-roofing. p.s. they use 3"x3" drip edge metal on the perimeter of the roof which differentiate them from others who use 2" drip edge. The roof looks great!

Expert Storm Damage Evaluation in Dana Point, CA
Dana Point homes face a specific set of weather stresses. Santa Ana winds push hot, dry air off the inland mountains toward the coast, lifting roof tiles and compromising flashing seals. When the first atmospheric river of the season follows a long dry stretch, accumulated cracks in sealants and dried-out underlayment get stress-tested all at once. Salt air from the Pacific also speeds up corrosion on metal roof components over time. Pelican Roofs SoCal conducts storm damage evaluations that document what the storm actually did to your roof. We check for displaced tiles, flashing failures, water intrusion points, and hidden deck damage that a surface look will miss. Our written assessment gives you a clear picture of the damage before your insurance adjuster visits. That documentation supports your claim and reduces the chance your insurer overlooks damage in the underlayment or secondary supports. If you own a home in Dana Point and a storm has come through, call Pelican Roofs SoCal to schedule your evaluation.

Storm Damage Evaluation FAQ
Common questions about storm damage evaluation in Dana Point, CA.
Getting a professional evaluation first gives you documented evidence to present when you open your claim. Insurance adjusters in Dana Point assess damage based on what they see during their visit, and a contractor's written report can support items they might otherwise overlook.
We inspect for displaced or cracked tiles, flashing failures, water entry points, granule loss, and damage to the underlayment and roof deck. Dana Point's coastal conditions mean we also check metal components for salt air corrosion that can worsen after a wind event.
Most standard homeowners policies cover sudden damage from wind and rain, which are the primary storm threats in Dana Point. Coverage depends on your specific policy terms, so reviewing your policy and getting a documented damage assessment is the right first step.
Santa Ana winds apply sustained uplift pressure on roof edges, tiles, and ridge lines rather than the short gusts most roofs are built to handle. That prolonged force can loosen fasteners and shift tiles in ways that only show up as leaks when the next rain arrives.
Yes, a written assessment from Pelican Roofs SoCal gives you a second set of documented observations to reference if the adjuster's estimate misses damage. Having contractor documentation on file is one of the most practical steps a Dana Point homeowner can take before a claim dispute.
A storm damage evaluation focuses specifically on what a weather event caused, not general maintenance conditions. It documents damage patterns, affected areas, and the likely cause so the findings align with what an insurance claim requires.
